Natural Habitat: Mark Schrope

In our Natural Habitat series, we invite science writers to share their working spaces—offices, spare bedrooms, coffee shops, hammocks—and the accoutrements that help them do their best work. (If you’d like to nominate your office to be featured at Natural Habitat, let us know.)

Today we visit the working digs of Florida science writer Mark Schrope, who built a garage office that features a hammock, a shrunken head (of sorts), a chandelier, and a boat.

  1. I like it a lot. I hope we will have a chance to meet at some point. Perhaps on one of my trips to FLA when I visit your mom and dad. Your dad and I went to engineer OCS together.

  2. Okay, this was seriously inspiring, especially sitting here in my basement office in 12-degree Cleveland. Thanks for sharing, Mark!
