Thanks to TON Readers, We’ve Met Our Matching Goal!

We’re delighted to say that we have met our goal of raising $5,000 by December 31. These gifts will be matched by an anonymous donor, for a total of $10,000.

Thank you to all who have given! Creating and publishing high-quality stories about the craft of science journalism costs money: We pay competitive rates for all the reported features, interviews, and story annotations that appear at TON. We also pay for professional editing and copyediting, for web development services that enable resources like our Pitch Database, and for administrative costs such as website hosting, domain registration, and nonprofit organization fees. When grant funding is scarce, TON‘s co-founders have paid these costs out of their own pockets. Donor contributions make a big difference in our ability to help science journalists improve their skills, and so we’re grateful for our readers’ help!

(And if you haven’t yet made a year-end tax-deductible donation to The Open Notebook but would like to, we would be most grateful!)

And thank you for your generosity!
